GCC operations and management

The make-up of India’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) is changing. Enterprises are not content with cost savings alone; they want their India operations to be a source of innovation and business value from the outset, while also making use of AI. To accommodate this, LTM has put forward GCC Origin, a new business unit meant to assist companies in the establishment, running and transformation of their GCCs in the country.

With GCC Origin, LTM is set to back this change in direction. The unit will make it easier for firms to put down roots in India by rolling up everything a company might require into a single package, be it site and infrastructure selection or long-term operational readiness. For those making an entry into the Indian market or adding to what they have, it is a more integrated way to go about setting up and expanding a GCC.

End-to-End GCC Support Through a Dedicated Business Unit

Backed by considerable investment, GCC Origin will function as its own entity at LTM, complete with leadership, sales and delivery teams. Shailendra Singh will head up the business and report to Venu Lambu, LTM’s CEO and Managing Director.

Services run the gamut from picking a site to providing turnkey facilities in Tier 1 and 2 cities, as well as ensuring the workplace and infrastructure are in order. This gives an enterprise the leeway to decide how it wants to proceed. There is no need to juggle different providers for various stages of the process; support is available for the whole lifecycle of the GCC or for individual services as called for.

Flexible GCC Models to Match Enterprise Needs

Several engagement models will be on offer under GCC Origin: Assisted GCC, Build-Operate-Transform-Transfer, Virtual GCC, Joint Ventures and Hire-Operate-Transfer.

These are designed to let a company pick an approach that suits its operating requirements and plans for expansion. If an enterprise requires a partner to build and manage the operation or some help in setting up a centre, there is a model for that. The objective is to keep the development of a GCC flexible as priorities and needs shift.

How BlueVerse AI Supports GCC Transformation

At the heart of GCC Origin is LTM’s BlueVerse agentic AI ecosystem and its 300-plus pre-built AI agents. With the integration of AI into the service proposition, the unit is answering the call from enterprises for intelligent automation and the like to get more out of their GCCs.

For the company, this is a material change in focus. It is not enough to put in place the teams and the building; the aim is to construct centres that yield measurable outcomes and can underpin transformation.

Why GCC Origin Matters as India’s GCC Landscape Evolves

Venu Lambu says the old rationale of opening a GCC just to cut costs has been left behind. Value creation from day one is now the expectation, with AI having an ever greater part to play.

GCC Origin is a response to that. It brings together the setup and operational side with an AI-led transformation ecosystem. As India becomes a choice for more strategic global operations, the task is not merely to have a centre but to have one that can grow with the business and add value. LTM’s new unit is intended to meet that requirement and turn a GCC into an engine for growth and innovation.
