A tardy reply or an absent document is an unneeded obstacle for any student putting in an application for technical education. On the other side of the desk, admissions staff are faced with thousands of applications and enquiries that can demand hours of administrative drudgery and repetitive follow-up.

To put some of that pressure off its teams, Lincoln Tech is introducing LeadSquared AI agents at 22 of its campuses in 12 US states. The intent is to expedite student enquiries, root out missing information from applications and allow counsellors to give their attention to those prospects who are prepared to move forward.

Streamlining the Process with AI

The AI agents will be put to work on three principal fronts in the Lincoln Tech admissions process.

They will first single out the applicants who are ready to go, so counsellors can put high-intent prospects ahead of the rest rather than giving every enquiry equal time.

Then they will go over applications to spot any errors or omissions that might hold things up. That gives the admissions team a chance to deal with incomplete submissions in short order and put the applicant through his paces more efficiently.

And if a prospective student has gone quiet, the agents will re-engage them via automated workflows.

There is also support from the wider LeadSquared platform. Invorto Voice AI is available for round-the-clock engagement to qualify enquiries and see to the collection of documents while Lumen AI agents handle the automation of scheduling and other enrollment duties. In practical terms, it means less waiting for students and a way for admissions to get away from the routine and offer some one-on-one direction.

Why Scale Matters for Lincoln Tech?

With operations under the Lincoln Technical Institute, Lincoln College of Technology and Nashville Auto Diesel College brands, Lincoln Tech has 22 campuses in 12 states and catered to over 17,000 students in 2025.

The school has already put money into quicker responses from admissions, with a view to answering in under two minutes at locations that put in about 30,000 applications a year. This new deployment of AI is meant to add support at the important points in the enrollment funnel.

Keeping Human Oversight at the Centre

When you automate parts of admissions, questions of accountability and data come to the fore. So the rollout at Lincoln Tech comes with set rules for the AI and human oversight on the major decisions. There are also audit trails for compliance.

LeadSquared’s platform is built for institutional requirements with FERPA-aligned data handling and role-based access. It is an approach that lets the AI be of service without supplanting human judgement.

Measuring Results Before Expanding AI

Before the agents are rolled out to other parts of the student journey, Lincoln Tech and LeadSquared will take stock of how they have done. They will be looking at conversion gains, how fast they are responding and the rate of completed applications.

This is a measured way to make sure the technology is worth it before making it standard practice.

What AI-Led Admissions Could Mean for Students

In higher education at large, AI is being called on for the high-volume, routine side of administration so staff have the space to put in the work of building relationships and advising students. For Lincoln Tech it will be a test of whether this more consistent and expeditious support makes the road from enquiry to enrollment a smoother one.
