LTM and Cognition have joined forces to put the AI agent Devin to work in enterprise cybersecurity, a move that comes as organisations find their conventional security operations falling behind. With the proliferation of vulnerabilities and an increasing sophistication in cyber threats, it is no longer enough for security teams to simply contend with attackers; they are also swamped by a growing backlog of issues in need of repair.
To meet that head on, LTM (formerly LTIMindtree) has entered into a partnership with Cognition to make its AI software engineering agent, Devin, part of the LTM cybersecurity offering. The first wave of this collaboration will be directed at banks and other financial institutions with the goal of automating vulnerability remediation, all while human oversight remains paramount.
It is a sign of where the industry is heading: artificial intelligence is no longer just for threat identification but is being called upon to help enterprises resolve matters with greater speed and precision.
How Devin and BlueVerse RightLogic Will Transform Vulnerability Management
Devin will act as an AI security engineer under the terms of the deal, able to pore over source code, application set-ups and vulnerability reports to produce fixes of high confidence. These are then channeled through LTM’s BlueVerse RightLogic platform, which brings the necessary governance and enterprise controls to the table and ties in with the tools customers already use.
But the process is still very much human-led. Security engineers will be the ones to vet and give the final approval on what Devin puts forward, especially in compliance-heavy or mission-critical applications. By having this layer of review, LTM is looking to get resolution rates up to 80 per cent, turning passive identification of problems into proactive fixes without any sacrifice to reliability or regulatory standing.
Why Banks and Financial Institutions Are the First Focus
There is a reason the banking sector is the starting point for this venture. Financial institutions run some of the most complex infrastructures out there, mixing legacy and cloud systems with third-party apps and tightly regulated data. They are also subject to compliance rules that leave little room for delay when a critical vulnerability is found.
For such entities, closing the gap between finding and fixing a flaw is key to reducing operational and reputational risk. LTM’s existing rapport with top financial houses makes them the right place to test and validate the solution before taking it to other industries.

What This Partnership Means for the Future of AI-Powered Cybersecurity
Gardner Johnson, Cognition’s Global Head of Partnerships, would put it this way: modern cybersecurity has become a matter of volume that human teams cannot handle on their own.
What we are seeing with LTM is part of a wider change in how enterprise security is conducted. There is a clear shift from manual management to AI-assisted workflows that augment the security professional rather than take their place. By making Devin a part of the BlueVerse RightLogic suite, LTM is building a scalable portfolio that can eventually serve healthcare, insurance and critical infrastructure.
For the customer the case is straightforward. It means fewer open vulnerabilities and shorter patch cycles, freeing up the team to stop worrying about tickets and concentrate on what is strategically important. As agentic AI becomes more common, this kind of partnership shows how the technology is becoming an active part of securing the digital business.
